පලමුව සභාපතිතුමා, උප සභාපතිතුමා, අධ්‍යක්‍ෂ මණ්ඩලය, විදුහල්පතිතුමිය ඇතුලු සියලු කාර්යය මණ්ඩලය වෙනුවෙන් මා, සියලුම සූමේධ දරුවන්ට සහ දෙමාපියන්ට සෞඛ්‍යමත් සුභ නව වසරක් වේවායි, ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරමි.
පසුගිය සති කිහිපය තුළ අප ගුරුමණ්ඩලය විසින් සූමේධ දරුවන්ට අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු ලබා දීමේ ක්‍රියාවලිය තුළ දෙමාපියන් ලෙස ඔබ ලබා දුන් සහයෝගයට අප බෙහෙවින්ම ස්තුතිවන්ත වන අතර ඉදිරි සති කිහිපය තුළත් ඔබගේ සහය නොමදව අපේක්ෂා කරමු.
සුමේධ දරුවන්හට අන්තර්ජාලය හරහා ලබා දුන් සියලු පාඩම් අප කළමනාකාරීත්වය සහ අධ්‍යයන කාර්යය මණ්ඩලය ඉතා විධිමත්ව, සැලසුම් සහගතව කරල ලද කර්තව්‍යයක ප්‍රතිඵලයකි. නමුත් මෙහිදී හදිසි තත්ත්වයක් තුළ අවම පහසුකම් යටතේ පාඩම් සකස් කළ බැවින්, එහි යම් අඩුපාඩු සහ ගැටලු සහගත තැන් තිබුණු අතර, එවැනි දෝෂ හඳුනාගත් විගස අප දැනුවත් කරමින් ඒවා නිවැරදි කර ගැනීමට ඔබ ලබාදුන් සහයෝගයද අප බෙහෙවින් අගය කරමු.
රට තුළ පවතින වාතාවරණයට ගැලපෙන ලෙස සකස් කළ වාර සැලැස්ම අනුව දෙවැනි වාරයේ වැඩ කටයුතු 2020 අප්‍රේල් 20 සඳුදා දින සිට අප අරඹමු.
කරුණාකර පහත කරුණු කෙරෙහි ඔබගේ අවධානය යොමු කරන්න.
- සියලු පාඩම් සිසුන්ගේ ශ්‍රේණිය අනුව වෙන වෙනම ලැබෙන්නට සලස්වමු.
- ඉදිරි සති කිහිපයේදි එක් එක් ශ්‍රේණි සඳහා වෙන වෙනම කාලසටහන් ඔබ වෙත ලැබීමට සලස් වන අතර සිසුන් ඊට අනුගතවිය යුතුය. එක් එක් ශ්‍රේණි සඳහා අදාළ කාලසටහන පාඩම් මාලාව සමග ඔබ වෙත ලැබෙනු ඇත.
- සෑම සතියකම සඳුදා දින සියලුම පාඩම් මාලා අප වෙබ් අඩවිය හා ඔබ පන්තියට අදාළ WhatsApp සමූහය හරහා පලකරනු ඇත.
- ගුරුභවතුන් පාඩම් වෙන වෙනම කාලසටහන අනුව දිනපතා පල නොකරන අතර, සෑම සතියකම සඳුදා දින සතියටම අදාල පාඩම්මාලා අප වෙබ් අඩවිය හා WhatsApp සමූහයන් තුළ පල කරනු ඇත.
- අදාළ දිනයට සහ කාලසටහනට අනුව ඔබ දරුවාට අදාළ පාඩම් සම්පූර්ණ කරවීම දෙමාපියන්ගේ වගකීමක් බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න.
- පාඩම් නියමිත කාලසටහනට අනුව කොටස් වශයෙන් බෙදා වෙන් කරන ලෙස අප ගුරුභවතුන් හට උපදෙස් දී ඇත. උදාහරණයක් වශයෙන්, අඟහරුවාදා කාලසටහනේ ගණිතය විෂය ඇත්නම්
- "Maths 2020-04-21" ශිර්ෂය නමින් වු පාඩම් සිසුවා විසින් සම්පුර්ණ කළ යුතුය.
- එක් එක් ශ්‍රේණියට නියමිත කාලසටහන සෑම සිසුවෙක්ම තරයේම අනුගමනය කළ යුතු අතර ඊට දෙමාපියන්ගේ සහායෝගය අපේක්ෂා කරමු.
මෙම කාලවකවානුව තුළ සිසුන්ට පරිගණකය, ස්මාට් දුරකථන, අන්තර්ජාලය වැනි විද්යුත් මාධ්‍ය තම අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු කිරීමට යොදා ගැනීමට සිදුවන බැවින් දෙමාපියන් ලෙස ඔබ, ඔවුන් කෙරෙහි සුපරීක්ෂාකාරීව සිටින ලෙසද අප ඉතා ඕනෑකමින් ඉල්ලා සිටිමු.
අප විසින් සපයන පාඩම් සිසුන් සම්පූර්ණ කළ යුතු වුවත්, දරුවාට නිවස තුළ සතුටුදායක ලෙස කාලය ගත කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය පරිසරය සකස් කිරීමද ඉතා වැදගත්වේ.
එක් එක් ශ්‍රේණි සඳහා නේවාසික සාහිත්‍ය තරගයක් ද කලා තරගයක් ද ඇරඹීමට අප තීරණය කර ඇත්තෙමු. එම වැඩි විස්තර අප වෙබ් අඩවිය තුල පල කර ඇත.
විවේක අවස්ථාවලදි සිසුන් සඳහා වූ විනෝදාත්මක බාහිර ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සහිත වෙබ් පිටු ලබන සතියේ එක් කෙරෙනු ඇත. මෙම තරග සහ බාහිර ක්‍රියාකාරකම් අනිවාර්යය නොවන බව සලකන්න.

Dear Parents,
First of all, let me wish you and all Sumedhians a Very Happy and Healthy New Year on behalf of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman, the Board of Directors, the Principal and all the academic staff at Sumedha College.
We are extremely pleased with the support we have received from the parents in the last few weeks when it has been a joint effort by the teachers and the parents to get the lessons across to the students. We hope to receive the same support in the upcoming weeks as well.
Every lesson that was sent to your child has been done to a set work plan implemented by the management and the academic staff. As in any operation of this nature, mistakes were made and then rectified throughout the weeks. We truly value the feedback you have sent to the chairman, as that helped us to redo or re-correct the problematic areas.
According to the term plan that has been created to suit the present situation in the country, we are starting the 2nd Term work from 20th Monday April, 2020.
Please read the following carefully.
- All the lessons will be sent to the children according to their grade.
- The difference for the upcoming weeks is that each grade has created a timetable to be followed by the students. The timetable for each grade will also be uploaded with the lessons.
- Each week, on every Monday all the lessons will be uploaded via the website and the class watsapp groups.
- Please note that the teachers are not going to upload the lessons daily to the WhatsApp group according to the timetable. Instead, all lessons for that week will be sent across to the children on every Monday via both the WhatsApp group and website.
- It is the responsibility of the parents/students to ensure that the correct lesson is done on the correct day by following the timetable and the date of the lessons.
- We have instructed the teachers to break down the lessons according to the timetable. For an example, if the timetable has Maths on Tuesday the lesson with the heading "Maths 2020-04-21" should be done by the student.
- The timetable for each grade must be strictly followed by every student and we hope that the parents will support them to do so.
On that note, it is also important to remind the parents that, since the children have to use all forms of electronic media for their work, it is very important to be super vigilant about them when they using smart phones or laptops with freely accessible internet.
Even though children must complete the lessons we send them, it is also important to make sure that their time at home is enjoyable too.
On that note, we have decided to start a stay at home literary contest and an art contest for specific grades. More details will follow soon on the website.
Also pages consisting of fun activities for the students to do in their free time will be added to the website next week. Please note that the contests and the fun pages are not compulsory.
